We are looking for 3 Senior Java Developers at the moment.
The development team works on a highly complex product, which is mainly intended for use in the Performance Management market space. The product can alternatively be viewed as a 4gl programming system. The product is based on JEE5, JSE6/7, and Macromedia Flex. The tools we use are: IDEA, Eclipse. Ant, Jruby, JIRA, TeamCity, Subversion and operating system to your liking.
This is a full time position with no predefined end date defined.
Description of candidate responsibilities and thorough description of requirement/position:
The candidates will primarily contribute into an existing development team.
The main responsibilities will be to develop functionality described by the product management team, they will also verify results. What the delivery programmers will deliver should contain:
Design documentation (where needed) with appropriate models in UML
The actual source code with proper comments.
Unit tests to test public interfaces of the delivered code.
The candidate is also responsible for delivering within the process framework and toolset defined for the team. This includes rules of conduct and confidentiality declaration
Normal 37, 5 + 2, 5 work week. Office time Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9 to 15.
Casual in office, formal if you need to get involved with customers

The salary is according to the experience and skills, being a competitive one on the local market in Norway. There won't be any salary differences between you and a native of the country.

The positions require a minimum bachelor degree preferably a master of science or a master of technology. If a candidate with better formal qualifications is found, we might be able to tailor a position especially for them if they have degrees in memory storage technology or information visualization.
Senior Java front end developers with 5 + years of experience
Experience with Swing and GUI or Experience with J2EE – Java enterprise
Must understand architecture/design
Experience with HTML/ web applications
Must have experience with UML
Active Directory / LDAPis a +
Understanding of relational databases is a +
Understand MDX is a +
Experience with Scrum and other agile process frameworks is an advantage
Need a Developer and not a “coder” who only works from specifications
Nice to have experience with: Apache, LDAP, any version control system tool
Experience with modern development tools like ANT, Maven, Eclipse, IDEA, Netbeans, Magicdraw,
Rational Rose and similar tools is considered a plus.
Experience with opensource libraries like jakarta, jakarta-commons, Google-collections, OpenSymphony is an advantage.
Must speak English
Ability to reason about problems in an abstract manner is crucial.
