Senior Operator: To operate, monitor and control the assigned units of the plant using DCS/ICS, to process, store and export the products on specification, while maintaining Company and HSE requirements and maximising plant yield. Responsible for operating and monitoring the plant process using the DCS/ICS and providing process data to area shift personnel. The Senior Operator has to have in-depth knowledge of the assigned process area so that he may be assigned to work either as DCS/ICS Area Operator in the Control Room or as Senior Operator working outside in his assigned process area. Major expansion, new and existing plants de-bottlenecking projects, in addition to various other major projects underway. The challenge for the jobholder is to ensure that the deliverables of these projects meet the end user expectation and to keep pace with these projects without jeopardising the performance of the existing facilities.
