RESPONSABILITATI

Basic Function:
• To carry out corrosion control activities and contribute to static equipment corrosion monitoring.
• To provide recommendation/support in the corrosion and metallurgical related issues in connection with subsurface structures, pipelines, to topside process facilities.

Main Work Performed and Responsibilities:
 Maintenance of the Installation Corrosion Monitoring and Mitigation policies.
 Ensure that material failure investigation and root cause analysis are carried out where considered necessary and that any implication with respect to integrity is reported accordingly.
 Revision of all Inspection strategies with respect to corrosion related issues.
 Classification of corrosion loops in plant
 Assess RBI team with the required knowledge in assigning degradation mechanisms relevant to equipment operational environment.
 Maintaining the integrity of Hydrocarbon pressure envelope and associated structures.
• Must be familiar with risk assessment, monitoring and inspection procedures for equipment.
• Must be familiar with the Inspection and Corrosion Management business processes.
• Must have good technical skills to provide solutions, act as advisor when expertise is required on corrosion problems.
• Must be fully conversant with all aspects of the application (s) technologies, development techniques, and operating system being used.

Work Contacts:
Reports to Inspection Department Manager.
Interacts on a daily basis with colleagues in Plant Improvement, Plant Availability departments and the Operations personnel to discuss corrosion related issues. Sometimes interacts with vendors and contractors.

Independence of Operation and Decision making Authority:
Carries out corrosion studies results and gives recommendations. Aims to measure the equipment performance against per specified technical parameters and limits. Reports complex problems to Department Manager. Follows the policies and guidelines of the Plant Improvement Function.
Performance is reviewed by Inspection Department Manager.

Work Environment:
Based at the plant location in Ruwais. Spends a lot of time in and around the plants to verify the corrosion loops and potential corrosion areas. Is exposed to plant conditions and weather extremes.


CERINTE

 Experience in a Corrosion/Materials environment and relevant experience within the oil and gas production industry
 Graduation degree or equivalent technical or science discipline qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Petrochemical, Chemical) . Specialized training in inspection, corrosion prevention and cathodic protection, preferably in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
 Good speaking and writing knowledge of English.
 With minimum 8-10 years work experience in this field.
 Report writing experience with strong attention to details.
