- Design, create, and evaluate potential commercial hybrids to meet overall Continental market segment product goals with emphasis on early maturity zones.
- Incorporate new molecular tools and inbred knowledge in the early maturities for creation of new hybrids.
- Provide germplasm understanding and positioning with emphasis on Continental Europe (France, Austria, Hungary and Romania), and support for North America.
- Support research partners and business units with product and technical information
-Ph.D. or equivalent in biological sciences with expertise in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, or statistics
- Experience in the use of molecular breeding tools and analysis systems to enhance product development and improvement process
- Scientific knowledge and significant practical experience of maize germplasm, heterotic pairings, field trialing and knowledge of agricultural production.
-Expertise with computers and statistical analysis is essential. Experience with and proven ability to use multiple computer software applications and manage large databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent English is essential
