Purpose:
- Ensure the implementation of a Quality Management System onboard the vessel and its correct development, management and application, in coordination with the Management Functions onboard and the Corporate Quality Department
- Ensure correct application of the Project Quality Plan and the implementation of the Quality Control Plans
Responsibilities:
-Develops and manages the Quality Management System onboard in compliance with the Quality Policies and applicable standards and work instructions
-Guarantees the conformity of the Document System onboard with the Company QMS
-Distributes the Quality Documentation on site and ensures that the activities are carried out in compliance with the requirements
-Provides necessary feedback to the Assets, Quality or Procurement Departments
-Plans and implements internal Quality System auditing activities
-Supports the process owners for the definition of process indicators and KPI and monitors their activity
-Trains on quality matters the relevant positions and new -Supports other functions onboard during third party/ authorities and/or internal audits with regards to quality matters
-Manages the non-conformities and observations raised during the audits/inspections onboard
-Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collects, manages and files the required Quality records
-Cooperates in issuing, managing and analyzing the Event Reports relevant to asset and quality findings
-Participates to investigation of Event Report issued on board
-Prepares the periodic KPI report
-Monitors maintenance activities carried out onboard by internal and/or external personnel as regards to Quality matters
-Supervises the Quality Control function onboard; allocates the quality personnel
-Assesses the implementation of the Quality Control Plan
-Ensures that the tests, controls and inspections are carried out as per the technical requirements; evaluates the qualification of the inspection personnel
-Informs the Management Functions onboard, the Company Quality department of the deviations/ quality problems occurred onboard
Required Qualifications & Experience:
-Engineering/Technical qualification
-ISO 9001 -2000 IRCA QMS Auditor/lead Auditor
-Minimum of 5 years experience
-Experience in the same role on major projects
Required Competencies/ Skills:
-Fluent in both written and spoken English language
-Capable in using specific PC software
