• Design and interpretation of different type of Well Testing and Production
• Logging in gas-condensate and oil bearing portion of the field, with an integrated approach accounting for other reservoir data sources and the different characteristics of the field.
• Provide the evaluation of reservoir formation/fluids properties and well deliverability in cooperation with Well Production Forecasting
• Optimization and Modeling Groups. Provide final reporting and storage of results in the Data Base.
• Ensure the final check of data acquired in the well vs. testing objective, including PVT data.
• Suggest and justify data acquisition requirements and programmers (well tests, production logs) based upon the reservoir behavior, production optimization and in cooperation with the Reservoir Studies and Reservoir Geology Sections.
• Evaluate the efficiency of surface and down hole equipment in cooperation with Field Production Testing and Field Petroleum Engineering Sections.
• Support to preparation of yearly well testing / production logging planning schedule and the relevant budget.
• Keep records and provide forecast of the flaring volumes related to well testing. Promote, in cooperation with Field Petroleum Engineering Sections, the actions to minimize the volume of flaring while testing.
• Keep abreast of development in the relevant application software. Propose new applications; carry evaluation and testing as appropriate.
• Supervise group members in carrying out duties of the section, ensuring all tasks are carried out to appropriate standard in a timely manner.
• Give contribution to the preparation of the annual work programme and budget, in consultation with Reservoir Management Section Head.
• Tutor to national staff member with the target of rendering them capable to independently carry out the group duties.
• Suggest the appropriate development and training programme for each national staff member part of the group.
• Ensure resources required by the group to meet its objectives be provided.
• Maintain liaison with other groups of the Section and other Sections in order to ensure maximum integration and quality of interpretation results.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Petroleum / Oil & Gas Degree
• Relevant experience in a similar position
• Extensive, proved experience in Well Testing & Production Logging design, QA/QC and interpretation
• Strong supervisory skills
• Good knowledge of software packages used in the Industry for simulating well tests / production log behavior and equipment (surface and down hole)
• Familiar with reservoir engineering aspects, modeling, behavior, production optimization and data acquisition.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
