• Under Utilities, Off-site & Export Superintendent authority, operate on Utilities Plant, leading and supervising Plant Utilities Foreman, acting as mediator between Superintendent and Foremen.
• ensure the correct operation of power station and water injection plant
• participate in assisting his superior in defining the operating program; communicate to subordinate positions the working parameters to be maintained, operations to be carried out, plant to be used, and load distribution
• provide for maintaining the established working parameters of power generation and water injection turbo sets and the condition of water supply and injection wells; arrange for parameter variation to correct abnormal situations or to modify power production or water injection levels; inform his superior of any particular difficulties encountered
• provide for the coordination of the external plant operators in carrying out their job with particular reference to starting, stopping and load variation of the plant; ensure the application, in emergency situations, of all the operational procedures necessary to bring the plant back to normal conditions, ensuring at the same time the safety of the plant and personnel
• point out to his superior any abnormalities in the functioning of machinery and equipment and assist maintenance personnel during maintenance work; provide, through the external operators, for the routine maintenance of the plants such as cleaning, lubricating, etc.
• provide for the preparation of work reports and prepare technical reports relevant to the efficiency of the plant, difficulties encountered, etc.
• prepare and ensure the implementation of shift programs for the personnel and their appraisal
• carry out the on-the-job training ensuring the implementation of the training program for the Company personnel Coordinate with Maintenance Superintendent for equipment repair and replacement, instruments calibration, repair and improvement, machinery maintenance.
• Assure that processing operations are conducted in full compliance with Company procedures, safe practices, and Government regulatory requirements.
• Follow received instructions from his Superior in order to keep the utilities supplies
• Ensure the regular and correct recording of operating parameters of the units
• Promptly inform his Superior about possible anomalies and take directly corrective measures, if required
• Analyze the operating conditions of the units in comparison with the written reports in the logbook.
• Supervise the start-up of the units, according with his Superior’s requirements, in collaboration with Control Panel and Plant Operators
• Supervise the shutdown of the units, according with his Superior’s requirements, in collaboration with Control Panel and Plant Operators
• Supervise during emergency situations, according with the safety regulations, to prevent any incident, leading his team
• Assist, as required, during emergencies on the plant.
• Technical Degree
• previous experience in a similar position, preferably in oil & gas industry
• good knowledge of English language
• good knowledge of MS Office
• supervisory skills
