Purpose:
To supervise the scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on field equipment, proactively identifying and resolving problems and minimizing downtime, in a safe manner and in compliance with Company and best practice Maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the set quality and time objectives in order to reach the best possible technical and economic results.
- Ensures correct use of the internal and external resources to carry out production activities.
- Ensures that maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established quality and safety procedures.
- Provides quantitative data required for issuing the works programmed and supervise issue of Progress Report.
- Ensures the definition and measuring of production control parameters and relative analysis of the deviations in terms of respect of times, efficiency and productivity, ensuring all corrective measures.
- Promotes, on the basis of operational needs and in cooperation with the technical services, new investments in tools and equipment as well as improvement and modification to existing tools and equipment, ensuring the use of those developed in the company.
- Ensures that ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities aimed at guaranteeing, within the range of competence, efficiency and preservation of assets are carried out.
- Ensures that load out operations are carried out.
- Ensures that lifting and handling activities are regularly carried out.
- Guarantees pre-commissioning and mechanical completion.
- Coordinates commissioning activities.
- Increases management involvement in managing and driving safety performance.
- Reinforces supervisory role in safety accountability.
- Monitoring, inspecting and verifying the performance of the maintenance contractors and their respect of time scheduling and task completion
- Following-up and controlling the testing and commissioning of new / modified equipment, systems and machinery
- Diagnosing faults and trends and taking or recommending appropriate corrective action
- Ensuring that Company and statutory safety requirements are adhered to in all maintenance activities undertaken by Company personnel and external contractors
- Ensuring the provision of adequate resources to carry out activities e.g. special tools and materials for the technicians and/or additional specialist maintenance support
- Compiling, completing and submitting of reports and documentation to the required standards and at the relevant frequency
- Contributing to the development of and updating of a formal maintenance system for Production Facilities
- Detailing approvals and work permits required prior to commencement of activities and shut-down needs
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineering Degree
- experience in a similar position minimum 5 years would be a plus
Required Competencies/ Skills:
-Good knowledge of English language
