As Maintenance Support Engineer principal accountabilities are:
- Perform in depth analyses of facilities/equipment performance and condition to determine areas for possible improvement;
- Provide technical expertise services in the areas of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and Inspection Engineering to the GMS implementation team;
- To carry out Failure Mode and Effect analysis (FMECA);
- Provide maintenance engineering input to the specification of engineering projects throughout the engineering and commissioning phases;
- Provide technical input to the preparation and development of maintenance budgets and contracts;
- Foster the application of enhanced safety and quality management principles;
- Arrange and supervise audits of maintenance activities;
- Initiates and supervises the review of Maintenance Job Routine's, Maintenance Guidelines, Maintenance Procedures and SPIR's;
- Supervises the implementation of EOMs (Extra Ordinary Maintenance);
- Consults with maintenance engineers and supervisors on matters regarding maintenance procedures, work methods, best practices, new technologies and performance benchmarking.
As Pipeline and Corrosion Engineer principal accountabilities are:
- Carry out regular technical inspections and audits on production facilities to ensure optimum, safe utilization of equipment and improve availability;
- Carry out preventive pipeline maintenance on the export lines;
- Maintain a structured interaction and exchange of information with the Maintenance Engineering section;
- Keep record of statutory testing requirements (e.g. relieve valves, pressure vessels etc.) and provide input to planner/scheduler for execution;
- Identify potential Intelligent Pigging contractors and propose selection procedure;
- To interface with the Production department and ensure that the agreed execution plan for PM, PDM and EOM’s is completed within time and budget;
- Lead and participate in HSE/Technical Audits, design reviews, HAZOP studies, and inspections;
- Identify opportunities for the application of Risk Based Inspection and maintenance techniques with the objective to minimize intervention and improve overall performance of GMS;
- Familiarize with the use of MAXIMO.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry;
- University degree (BSc or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument;
- Maintenance experience within one discipline- must cover all technical applications common to the industry;
- Working knowledge of a broad range of most commonly applied hardware in his discipline. (by Manufacturer and design );
- Solid experience in modern Maintenance Management practices (FMECA, RCM and RBI / Use and application of CMMS / Planning of maintenance execution / Selection of most effective maintenance options and strategies / Development of maintenance business process;
- Working knowledge of Oil & Gas Operation and Production practices;
- Familiar with subjects as: area classification, permit to work systems etc.
- Fluent in English, verbally as well as in reading and writing.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry;
- A background in metallurgy and familiarity with welding codes and techniques is essential;
- University degree (BSc. or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering;
- Solid experience with Inspection techniques and experience with mechanical and metallurgical failure modes;
- Strong leadership qualities and be able to lead a multicultural team of supervisors and technicians;
- Working knowledge of modern Maintenance Management and Operation/Production practices;
- Familiar with subjects as: area classification, permit to work systems and common practices for carrying out work in live Oil & Gas plants;
- Fluent in English, verbally as well as in reading and writing.
