RESPONSABILITATI

The role:

Working in a Legal Division, you will be responsible for case files to be processed in English or French. Principal duties include: examining and dealing with applications; advice to applicants on admissibility; preparation of case files for submission to the Court; presentation of applications; and drafting Court documents. As part of your role you will also participate in the supervision of trainee and assistant lawyers, and represent the Court at outside events.

The candidates:

The minimum requirements are: a University degree in Romanian law permitting access to the judicial administration or legal professions in Romania; at least two years' professional experience gained in the legal field in Romania (preferably in the judicial service) or in international organisations; thorough knowledge of the Romanian legal system; and knowledge of other national jurisdictions, constitutional and international law. In addition to Romanian of mother-tongue standard, candidates must have very good knowledge of one of the Council's official languages (English or French) to be able to draft legal texts therein clearly and precisely, and good knowledge of the other official language; knowledge of other European languages is desirable.
