The Knowledge Strategist’s key responsibilities are to coordinate with a variety of internal teams to ensure that potential sales opportunities are scoped within the parameters of both our delivery services and the On-Demand software solutions and the Ariba Supplier Network. This person will manage multiple work-streams for a broad range of solutions from visibility to sourcing to procure to pay. Additionally, the Knowledge Strategist will structure “flight plans” or strategy assessments for on-boarding suppliers to the Ariba Supplier Network.

• Strong technical knowledge of Ariba architecture and deployment methodologies
• Good understanding of ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of procurement and sourcing related processes (requisitioning, order processing, invoicing, and payment)
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software particularly Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• 4 + years of experience with Ariba technology/services
• 3+ years managing projects or programs where more than 60% of their responsibility included customer relationship and/or satisfaction
• 3 + years of project management experience in a technical environment
• Travel – 10-20%
Ariba Solution Expertise
• Highly knowledgeable of any combination or subset of the following: Ariba Spend Visibility, Ariba Contracts, Ariba Supplier Performance Management, Ariba Sourcing, P2P, Ariba Invoice, Ariba Content Procurement
• Highly knowledgeable about supplier enablement services including the capability of differentiating between the types of enablement and the most appropriate method based on customer provided information
• Understands the difference and can articulate the benefits between Enterprise and On-Demand Software Deployment Customer Focus
• Provides guidance and experience on deployment practices, project planning, resource planning, change management
• Ensures clearly laid expectations with customer to improve upon their Ariba experience. Teamwork
• Collaborates with a variety of organization including Product Management, Deployment Services, Technical Support, Sales, Consulting, etc
• Shares and implements Best Practices through formal Work Instruction creation and tool development
• Contributes to Global expansion of this services delivery Practice Development
• Contributes forecasting new deals on a quarterly basis
• Provides best practice knowledge to better the tools / technology designed to scope and present experience
• Contributes to the development of new processes to make our processes more efficient People Development
• Develops and trains new team members
• Continues to educate the extended On-Demand and Network community on best practices, innovations and process development
