RESPONSABILITATI

To ensure the running of systems and applications as desired, the technical
specialists utilize their expertise to:
- Act as ¿Service owner¿ for a set of applications/services monitoring and reporting on service levels attained for these applications/services, and ensuring their continuity of service at all times.
- Supervise all installation and maintenance work associated with the installation as a whole, including environmental and electrical services. Plan, execute and support implementations so the applications themselves are deployed with minimal disruption to the production environment.
- Use available software or specialist monitoring tools to maintain awareness and control of the hardware and
software.
- Identify and rectify a broad range of operational exceptions and error conditions and deal sensibly and responsibly
with unexpected or extraordinary events or incidents.
- Respond to enquiries by users, specialists or others and deal effectively with a broad range of problems
- Assist in planning and monitoring utilization and capacity for current and proposed systems, including changes, by performing defined tasks.
- Select available tools and techniques prudently to fulfill requirements and generate accurate information for
measuring, estimating, planning and tuning capacity.


CERINTE

At least one year experience;
Required Technical Skills / Experience
- Proficient in administration of Windows and/or Unix-based systems
- Hands on experience with the interface of OS and work with the applications:
- Storage (Veritas NetBackup, Tivoli, etc)
- Databases (Oracle, Sybase, Informix, MS SQL, etc)
- Resilience software.
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

Preferred Technical Skills / Experience
- Programming experience in one of the following languages C, C++, Java, J2EE.
- Hands on experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: Perl, ksh, Bourne Shell or Java Script.
- Knowledge of either Openview products (preferably HP) and/or Mercury products (BAC, MAM, RUM)
- Experience in building, configuring and administering a regional antivirus solution
- Citrix client and server setup and support
- Knowledge of Operations Center processes and working practices, in particular - DC Operations, Help Desk, and Change Mgmt.
- Knowledge of ITIL support processes
