RESPONSABILITATI:
Introduction:
Imagine your Mondays as exciting as Fridays, having an impact, being part of an entrepreneurial team where you count, creating the best DataWarehouse. You will be responsible for the improvement of Avira’s DataWarehouse and further development of the Management Information System (Cognos 8). You will be the interface between Web development, Marketing, Avira Business Lines, Finance, Legal and Support. The collection and presenting of information and data from these departments will be part of your key tasks. You have the ability to make every project a success, while being confronted with challenges and difficulties that you will find solutions for.
Our challenges:
• Further development of our Management Information System, based on Cognos 8
• Development of interfaces to other business applications (MS Navision Dynamics, Sugar CRM, licensing system)
• Concept development, programming and further development of the Avira DataWarehouse as well as updating of the technical documentation.
• Further concept development and programming of new cubes, various reporting metrics and ETL jobs.
• Integration of new data sources into the DataWarehouse
• Co-ordination of our Cognos 8/DataWarehouse external partners and other external consultants.
• Advisory role on technical issues for internal departments and users.
CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Your qualifications:
• Degree in business information systems or a comparable practical qualification, ideally in the field of IT
• More than 2 years of experience in building a DataWarehouse and excellent knowledge of ETL processes
• Previous work experience with building reports/cubes in Cognos 8 and with its rights management system
• Very good skills in multidimensional modeling
• Good skills in MS SQL Server database development
• Fluent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Multitasking and ability to perform stakeholder management
• Willingness to travel few times a year to our subsidiary in Bucharest (Romania)
Desirable additional skills:
• Practical professional experience desired, for example as a consultant, along with a basic knowledge of business management principles
• Experience in working with Talend openStudio
• German language skills

This position is based in our headquarter (Tettnang, Germany), Lake of Constance. Relocation from Romania to Germany is required.
