• Maintaining a daily Site Diary
• Handling all Electrical & Instrumentation Technical queries and investigating all field electrical related problems including the drawing of field sketches, when necessary, in accordance with Company’s rules
• Preparing ‘As Built’ drawings
• Ensuring that fully detailed documentation of all Electrical & Instrumentation activities are raised and completed prior to handover
• Maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel working on the job site
• Coordinating with Engineering and Construction and liaise with the Client on detail engineering requirements
• Ensuring that all electrical installation procedures are agreed. Advising on all plant and tools required and on all specialist expertise which may be required
• Verifying that all items of equipment and associate materials meet the agreed electrical specifications
• Ensuring that all equipment and materials not meeting the latest agreed specifications be returned to the stores and placed in a quarantine lay down area and to ensure that the Engineering Department/Material Controller are advised of discrepancies
• Agreeing all commissioning procedures and arranging for all required documentation to be drawn up
• Maintaining throughout the project, a record of any/all changes/modifications that have taken place, these records to take the form of marked-up drawings. On completion of sections of work, ensure that these drawings are handed over to the drawing office for action
• supervise and assist his subaltern in the DCS&PLC maintenance
• ensure the correct function of all the equipment
• ensures, in accordance with the programmes and the specifications the carrying out of maintenance works on DCS and all the Programmable logics
• suggest his superior about the provision of those material that are necessary for carrying out planned maintenance works
• support Operation personnel on critical situations
• assist, as required, in emergencies on the plant
• identify appropriate maintenance technologies, practices and programs based on review and monitoring of equipment performance and maintenance data.
• provide maintenance engineering expertise to resolve performance problems
• accuracy, timely updating and overall technical quality of Maintenance analysis (criticality, Failure etc.) and Maintenance database
• field maintenance operative procedure elaboration according to Company guidelines and international best practices
• maintaining updated maintenance database
• Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Technical Specification
• technical proposal for modification/improvement
• issuing technical report
• Engineering/Technical qualification
• Minimum of 5 years experience as Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
• Experience in the same role on major projects
• Fluent in both written and spoken English language
• Capable in using specific PC software
