RESPONSABILITATI

Sales
• Motivate and coach sales team to achieve/exceed sales goals by establishing
effective target- and goal-setting standards; marketing & promotion of merchandise
as directed by Corporate HQ.
• Prepare the sales team to ensure successful key promotions, special sales, and daily
program for specific cruise itinerary to maximize passenger flow on shop floor.
• Analyze sales & inventory reports, providing feedback and results regarding top and
slow sellers to District Manager.
• Track and control budgeted costs to ensure compliance with Corporate HQ’s
strategic direction.
Service
• Ensure that staff is knowledgeable about merchandise being offered and are
informed of product knowledge, selling and customer service techniques.
• Ensure that Sales Associates are strategically placed on shop floor based on
knowledge & skill sets in order to maximize sales.
• Manage customer complaints/comments according to established procedures in a
professional manner.
Merchandise & Display
• Ensure that merchandise is received, available for sale and properly displayed
according to Starboard’s visual merchandising directives. (i.e. PQ’s - Presentation
Quantity)
• Maintain and control inventory according to established Corporate HQ procedures
including timely reporting of damaged merchandise, inadequate/excess inventory
levels, and transfer issues.
• Ensure that merchandise is properly SKU’d and take corrective action as necessary.
• Maintain organized warehouse storage area according to cruise partner’s
established safety guidelines.
POS Systems
• Must have broad knowledge and ability to train Sales Associates on proper
operating/maintenance procedures of POS systems.
Loss Prevention
• Ensure that Sales Associates are aware of proper reporting procedure for
communicating sources of potential loss to management.
• Track and maintain shrinkage levels as directed by Corporate HQ, including taking
corrective action as necessary.
Safety
• Ensure that staff is kept informed and is complying with all safety, security, and
environmental polices as outlined by Corporate HQ and cruise line partner.
Supervisory
• Maintain high employee morale and encourage a collaborative team effort.
• Provide constant on-the-job coaching and guidance for all levels of staff.
• Maintain proper performance documentation including detailed performance
reviews and developmental action plans.
• Ensure that workload is effectively planned, prioritized, and delegated in a timely
manner. Create adequate time for follow-up to ensure proper execution of
directives.

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to
effectively liaise with cruise line officers and Corporate HQ representatives;
maintaining a high degree of professionalism at all times.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to restructure plans and effectively respond to changing business needs as
necessary.
• Ability to continuously lift up to 55 lbs. to effectively manage appropriate inventory
levels and shop merchandise presentation standards.
• Ability to physically participate and effectively contribute in cruise line’s boat safety
and emergency life-saving drills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 Years of Retail Management experience highly preferred.
• High School diploma and college coursework in Retail/Hospitality Management or
Business Administration highly preferred.
• Strong PC Skills using Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook or equivalent mail client application.
• Proficient English-language written and speaking skills.
