RESPONSABILITATI

FIELD BASED GEOPHYSICIST
Job Overview:
-An expanding Multi-Transient Electromagnetic service company seeks Field Geophysicists in both land and marine arenas.

The Company has developed breakthrough technologies over the last decade that produce resistivity profiles over prospective reservoirs to identify hydrocarbons before committing to costly drilling programs, thereby dramatically reducing the risk of drilling dry holes. This patented technology allows surface electromagnetics (EM) to be used on land and in shallow marine environments to detect oil and gas with virtual certainty, something which no other method can achieve (so far it can only be done in deep water). Their service provides a complete acquisition and processing technique for prospects both on land and offshore.

Survey equipment includes the source, which is purchased from a commercial supplier, and their proprietary acquisition units which are being assembled by outside manufacturing houses. The Company has strong financial backing and are in rapid expansion mode, building their land and marine field crews.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Party Chief and functionally to the Data Processing Manager, you will be responsible for geophysics-related aspects of the crew, with the goal of ensuring a successful outcome for both the customer and the company. You will ensure that HSE issues are actively addressed throughout this process.
- You will work in the recording station with the Observer during the acquisition phase as well as at your own workstation, carrying out data quality control, producing the RTA (real time appraisal), liasing closely with the client representative and providing final field reports.

Your role will involve many tasks including:
- Plan geophysical parameters to be used by the crew.
- Assist in the development of bids, scout potential prospects and make recommendations. Propose contractual technical specifications.
- Develop field technical documentation regarding survey design.
- Complete the monthly Field Data Processor’s report
- Liaise with the Party Chief to ensure that the survey planning for each contract forms an element in the overall crew strategy.
- Remain current with technical developments within the industry and devise and propose modifications and updates which may improve business.
- Ensure that policies are followed, and that all specific HSE requirements are met.
- Assist in ensuring that all operations are carried out according to the technical parameters outlined in the contract, specifically that data quality meets the required standards. Review daily and periodic instrument tests throughout the contract; document and action their results appropriately.
