Job Title: Engineer 2 (Structural)
Location: Hague, The Netherlands
Contract: 1 year (renewable)

Salary: Euro 3,450 - 7,300 / month
Starting Date: ASAP
Useful Information:
- 30% tax ruling will decrease overall personal income tax liability to approx. 25%-30%
- The Client can help in finding accommodation near the office (NO additional compensation)

- 13th & 14th month salary

- Multiply monthly salary by 14 and then calculated 70% for the total nett income per year.
- Good social coverage but no further support for local travel / accommodation.
- Total travel / housing cost assuming dommicile just outside the Hague (¿15-20min commute) will be about 500-850 depending on family status).

JOB DESCRIPTION
Function: Engineer 2
Department: Civil / Structural
Reporting: Reports to Manager Civil / Structural
TASKS:
- Acts as Lead Engineer on any project.
- Manages design subcontracts.
- Prepares bids from sketching data, using experience.
- Supervises engineers.
- Define scopes of work for engineering/construction.
- Deputizes for Lead Discipline Engineer.
- Provides engineering support as required.
Tasks as Lead Engineer:
- Has full responsibility for all engineering and design work on a project.
- Works in close liaison with Design Coordinator.
- Sets up all engineering computer systems.
- Assists Project Manager in:
- Preparing deliverable control.
- Preparing schedule.
- Preparing progress reports.
- Preparing man-hour and capital expenditure estimates.
- Coordinates with project management.
- Trains personnel under his supervision.
- Is responsible for discipline within the engineering group.
- Identifies changes in scope of work.
- Is responsible for filing of engineering work.

Education: (Formal Qualifications)
- Appropriate degree in engineering at WO/HBO level.
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
- When working on jobsite: PBNA, Safety 1 certificate.
Personal Skills: (Other Qualifications)
- Seasoned civil/structural knowledge.
- Very good organizer, motivator and supervisor.
- Able to solve problems without assistance.
- Keen on improving effectiveness of the work.
- SHE/QA and cost conscious.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and written.
- Show flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:
- The reassignment to other departments.
- The replacement of colleagues during illness and holidays.
- The provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workload (also other projects) when possible/desirable.
- The managing/learning of future current working methods and software applications.
