Job Description:
The department ETS Gas Marketing and Supply (GMS) supports the business process.
Marketing and supply' in Natural Gas with product development, support and operation and maintenance in the functional areas:
- Gas operations
- Sales administration
- Position and Risk management (Gas Trading and positions)
GMS is organized in teams around these three functional areas.
The Client is lloking forward to expand its Gas operation team from 9 to 18 people due to:
- Major modification and gap closure activities
- Need for improved support to the business (capacity and quality)
- Need for preparation to the next generation Gas Operation solution (Endur a solution from Openlink).
The modification, gap closure and next generation activities are part of the programme 'Sales Administrative Systems in NG' (SAS).
We are looking for 9 service minded, motivated and skilled personal in client - server programming (and reporting) who are able to learn new technology, due to the Endur replacement of the client specific solution Dispatch.
Duration:
From ASAP after 1 of March 2007 to 31 Dec 2007, with two options:
- Option no 1: extension from 1.Jan 2008 till 31. Dec 2008
- Option no 2: extension from 1.Jan 2009 till 31. Dec 2009
Extent: 100%
Location: Trondheim - Norway, but some travelling to Stavanger and Baku (Azerbaijan) can be expected
NNumber of Consultants: +9. The client might compose a group of consultants from several vendors to perform the tasks.
Responsibilities/tasks:
Members of the team contribute both in 'Operation and Maintenance' and in projects:
. Design and programming of client specific functionality
. Write technical specification/design documentation for the new functionality
. Write test scripts for module testing
. Unit and module testing
. Do bug fixing after testing
. Participate in Gas operations 2nd and 3rd line support
. User support
. Carry out changes to existing configuration
. Follow up, Investigate and fix defects in configuration and client specific functionality.
. Participate in a 24/7 on-call-service.
Requirements of knowledge and experience:
Mandatory:
. Experience as a system developer (Business Analyst, System Analyst or Designer/Programmer) in a system development project with at least 3 project participants
. Client - server programming (min 1year experience from structured programming; Centura, Power Builder, Visual Basic etc.).
. Oracle databases, SQL and PL/SQL
. Educated in IT
'Nice to have':
. Knowledge about energy trading (oil, gas or electricity)
. Knowledge of Dispatch
. Knowledge of ITIL
. PVCS or other relevant version control system
. Reporting; Crystal reports, Business Objects
. Biztalk, MQ, AQ
