• Capability to operate in the field, autonomously according to the instructions of the Commissioning Supervisor/Plant Shift Supervisor;
• Knowledge about operating and safety procedures relevant to the units foreseen in the present assignment;
• Knowledge about the operation philosophy of the equipment, machinery, instrumentation foreseen in the units;
• Support Operation personnel during major start up and shut down operations
• Support Operation personnel during major emergency situations
• Receive relevant anomalies reports and promptly act in order to ensure public safety
• Promptly alert his superintendent in case of relevant anomalies reported by his staff
• Write monthly reports on the work carried out and the work scheduled for the following month
• Report this data to his superior
• Write a report on any new ideas for improvements in the maintenance procedures
• Sign all the sheets officially released by his section.
• Ensures, in accordance with the programmes and the specifications the carrying out of maintenance works on DCS and all the Programmable logics
• Direct the disassembly of parts in order to repair or to detect the troubles occurred to the machinery
• Inspect by himself the most complicate instruments
• Check and detect troubles and defects by making use of technical information contained in the vendors documents, drawings and technical specifications
• Validate the repairing technique, the replacement of materials and parts proposed by his subalterns
• Direct the carrying out of repair work by directing and assisting his subordinates in the most difficult cases
• Fill the store request for the material to be used
• Request to the workshop the construction of special parts whenever the provision time will not allow the completion of work assigned
• Control the progress of the works to check the proper execution of the work and to comply with the planned time
• Advise completion of work to the Maintenance Planning Section to maintain the equipment record in the CMMS
• To check the working time of his subordinates in order to split and record it on the cost centre forms.
• Support Operation personnel on critical situations; Support Operation personnel during major start up and shut down operations; Support Operation personnel during major emergency situations; Assist, as required, in emergencies on the plant.
• Receipt and analyse weekly reports
• Prepare a plan with the corrective actions, their cost and their impact on the production and submit it to the manager
• Oil & Gas University
• Working experience lasting not less than 7 years in the operation of Refinery/Gas Processing/Petrochemical Units, in addition he shall have taken part to the initial start-up of units;
• Capability to communicate verbally in English language
