Within the Enterprise Services, you will contribute to the automation of our processes, and provide people with efficient tools for their day-to-day activities.
• Perform DB administration and deployment in staging and production environment
• Some DB needs to be installed in HA environment
• Implement new software "tools" to manage/monitor DB performance and availability
• Optimize DB structure and advise developers how to use DB efficiently
• Perform DB upgrades, patching or migrations
• Write and execute the test plans, manage release of SW versions . (contribute to the design of the Move to Production phase)
• Write technical documentation, support and maintain software.
• Contribute to tools roadmap and strategy using latest technology
• Responsible for providing technical consulting expertise to internal project teams
• Able to start work shift later e.g. 10:00am CET to partially cover US (PST) time zone, based on planned schedule or meetings with US people (we offer work from home in case that meetings are in later hours)
Experience
• 3-5 years experience in DBA role
• Experience in an international environment is an advantage
Knowledge
• Operating systems and programming languages:
o User level knowledge Unix / Linux and Windows
o Scripting skills in Unix environment
o Basic knowledge of Perl
o Basic system administration knowledge in Unix environment
o Proficient DB management – Oracle, MySQL
o Experience with DB deployment in HA environment
o Experience with backup and restore procedures
• Tools:
o DB management software
o DB monitoring software
o DB backup and restore solutions
Language
• English mandatory (technical English, read, written, spoken)
• Able to communicate with colleagues located in US
• Previous experience with international, English speaking environment is a plus
