Job Title: Construction Manager
Location: Hague, The Netherlands
Contract: 1 year (renewable)
Job Type: Permanent Position
Salary: Euro 4,650 - 9,350 / month
Starting Date: ASAP

Useful Information:
- 30% tax ruling will decrease overall personal income tax liability to approx. 25%-30%
- The Client can help in finding accommodation near the office (NO additional compensation)

- Multiply monthly salary by 14 and then calculated 70% for the total nett income per year.
- Ggood social coverage but no further support for local travel / accommodation.

DESCRIPTION
Function: Construction Manager
Department: Field Construction Management
Reporting: Reports functionally to the Project Director / Manager and administratively to the Director of Construction.
Tasks: (Function Description)
- Develops overall construction philosophy, strategy, objectives and construction execution plan and ensures the construction team implements successfully.
- Develops constructability program and ensures adherence reviews.
- Is responsible for overall construction execution.
- Is responsible for the implementation of and adherence to the project safety, health and environmental plan at site. Develops, promotes, controls and reports on the construction safety programs and incentive schemes.
- Administers the overall coordination and functions of the various departments under his jurisdiction.
- Represents ABB Lummus Global at the jobsite in all matters pertaining to local state and municipal laws, labor relations, public and community relations. Re¿sponsible for maintaining company prestige within the community.
- Establishes and maintains client relationships for construction issues
- Through subordinates, schedules, directs, coordinates and controls all phases of erection performed by subcontractors.
- Implements and monitors performance measurement.
- Is responsible for the implementation of an adherence to the project quality plan at site.
- Establishes and administers field policies on all matters within the scope of field operations and in accordance with general company policies and field manuals and ensures maximum economy in all phases of the work.
- Assists in the selection of key field supervisory personnel and recruitment of local personnel.
- Maintains close contact with Project Director during the construction phase in order to ensure adequate flow of information and materials to the field as well as to iron out any problems arising in the field in connection with: Engineering, plan¿ning, progress and costs.
- Continually reviews: Terms of contract, mechanical specifications and process flow diagrams with Project Director and/or Project Engineers in order to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Is ultimately responsible for the success of the construction project from the standpoint of cost, timing, local client relations and conformity to drawings and specifications.
- Manages subcontracts and subcontractors' performance and execution of work performed at the site.
- Assures the maintenance of harmonious relations between all parties at the job.
- Provides leadership to the construction team and creates the project environment to deliver the desired results through teamwork, support and recognition.

CERINTE

Education: (Formal Qualifications)
- Preferably Graduate Engineer.
- Safety for petrochemical industry (VCA 1 & 2) or equivalent.

Personal Skills: (Other Qualifications)
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in the various phases of Construc¿tion Management in process and/or heavy industrial facilities.
- Minimum 7 years supervisory experience.
- Execution knowledge of all phases of industrial construction projects.
- International construction execution.

- Work Conditions:
- Frequent travel.
- Extended assignments in foreign countries, often in harsh environments.
- Equipment/Software: Competent with most aspects of personal computers.
- Human Resource Responsibility: Supervises and coordinates multi-national staff.
- Other Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
