Main responsibilities:
- The role is for a Business Analyst to breakdown and document requirements for a client facing post-trade system with reporting and automated STP for trade processing.
- The role will include liaising with the business and operations on a global scale, developing detailed functional specifications, and ensuring that system development delivers to these requirements. The role will also include involvement and supervision of UAT, as well as post-release work to assist in the rollout/use of new functionality
Analysis
- Experience of gathering & writing functional requirements.
- Demonstrable experience of solving complex problems using structured and logical analysis.
- Excellent communication skills - business sponsors/users, front office staff along with those in IT with deep technical skills.
- Negotiation and influencing skills -ensure solution implemented is appropriate and supported by both the business and IT.
Agile/Scrum
- Knowledge of agile/scrum working practices desirable.
- Ability to manage projects and co-ordinate simultaneous tasks internally and externally.
Financial
- Investment Banking experience preferable, ideally within the field of exchange-traded derivatives.
- Understanding of the trade lifecycle, ideally the post-trade part of the lifecycle including matching, settlement, confirmation, reporting, exercise and assignment, MIS. Any experience of pricing, trading, order-routing, etc, would be useful.
- Wall st/financial qualifications are a bonus.
Technical
- Experience of software development very advantageous, especially a familiarity with database schema design. Hands on SQL experience advantageous.
- Experience of business analysis for web-based system is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol, Swift, or other similar financial protocols a strong plus.
- Experience/familiarity of middleware messaging products, e.g. Tibco RV, MQ Series also helpful.
- Experience of standard ETD apps (GMI, Clearvision, Bloomberg) useful but not essential.
