RESPONSABILITATI

-Assures that each guest is made to feel welcomed, comfortable and is served promptly, politely, and efficiently during all meal seating.
-Also, assists the Maitre d’ and restaurant manager in all aspects of the daily operation of the restaurant.
-Assists the Maitre d’ in the maintenance, condition and general appearance of the restaurant.
-Aids in the making certain of seats and tables are sufficient and that they are in good repair.
-Assist the Maitre D’ in assigning tables for the different workstations.
-Is instrumental in planning and staffing.
-Assures that the table settings seating and general condition of the restaurant is up to standards.
-Assigns stations and duties to waiters and assistant.
-Remains in the restaurant during operating hours and assists both staff and guest in their needs.
- Assists in greeting and seating guest and in insures prompt, efficient and courteous service.
-Handles reservations, questions and complains when necessary.
-Assists in management decision-making when called upon.
-Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS, and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.

OTHER POSSIBLE RESPONSIBILITIES

-Meet & Greet Guest upon embarkation.
- Escort guest to the stateroom.
- Assist with guest personal belongings or luggage.
- Deliver various amenities to stateroom.
- Assist with private parties and functions.
- Assist with any guest requests within the role of the job and possibility of meeting the need.
- Swiping guest cards at gangway.
- Unpack boxes/stocking area.
- Other jobs as assigned.


CERINTE

-Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Climb on step stool or ladder in order to complete elements of job or facilitate maintenance issues.
- Bend, lean and stoop without hindrance.
- Fine motor skills.
- Use stairs often.
- Work within different temperature changes—indoors to outdoors.
- Able to pass basic safety course.
- All in here mentioned is a minimal description of duties. Other work requirements may be necessary and assigned as business or maritime law dictates.

- Supervises all service personnel

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Professional appearance.
- Pleasant personality
- Fluent in English: speak read and write.
- Computer skill–high

Education and Experience:

-Hotel management degree in catering with 2 years of experience as a supervisor in food & beverage service operation (four star and above: Hotel, Resort, Restaurant.)
OR
- Hotel management degree with 2 years of experience as Maitre D’ Hotel on cruise ship.
