RESPONSABILITATI

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager¿s primary responsibility is to assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the management of all shipboard food and beverage related operations for either Norwegian Cruise Line, NCL America or Orient Lines, to ensure that the line's high standards are achieved and maintained within budgetary limitations. A procedural approach to managing the entire on board food and beverage department must be employed, utilizing modern management principles as well as incorporating technological innovations where practical in order to deliver top quality guest service.

- Maintains standards for the consistent quality and execution of all food & beverage service operations, including alternative dining and other service areas such as officers and crew mess rooms, the stewarding department, the indoor/outdoor buffet-style restaurant, the snack/BBQ outlet and the provisioning department.
- Ensures that procedures and policies are effectively communicated and followed through in order to maximize guest satisfaction, to reduce costs and to increase net profitability.
- Ensures that the department exceeds guests¿ expectations on a consistent and continuous basis.
- Ensures that the high standard of cuisine, service and guest handling is developed and maintained.
- Monitors the performance of all staff in his/her area of responsibility.
- Ensures that all F&B service related food items are being properly handled according to U.S. Public Health Service policy.


CERINTE

- Minimum of five years experience as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. The major thrust of the position is to create and maintain a professional operation and control expenses relative to the operation.
- Accountable for the supervision and training of some Food and Beverage department heads and supervisors, while improving weak areas in their performance.
- Ensures maximum efficiency in the performance of subordinate department heads and supervisors by suggesting and developing own training methods to improve their efficiency, productivity and performance.
- Evaluates the performance of supervisors periodically and recommends appropriate action such as promotions, disciplinary actions or commendations.
- Initiates and maintains effective employee relations at all times.
