Provide excellent Accounting knowledge to General Ledger Team Members (30 people supervised);
Manage General Ledger reconciliation and closing process for all countries, ensuring adherence to internal and external accounting regulations, procedures, policies;
Ensure continuous improvement of GL closing process;
Ensure integrity and reconciliation of General Ledger with all other ledgers;
Co-ordinate all GL Closing relevant internal / external audit requirements;
Manage Accounting;
Assign workload according to required skills to team members, ensuring equal distribution amongst the team;
Ensure service is delivered in line with agreed controls and procedures, according to SLA’s;
Take accountability for SLA and KPI statistics related to team;
Support process and system improvement projects by leveraging team resources to deliver regional and global projects;
Act as Country Owner for all GL relevant issues on managerial level;
Ensure logging of all GL relevant issues raised by local finance departments;
Lead the team to continuously improve performance and to achieve individual and team objectives;
Ensure up-to-date General Accounting regulations knowledge for all served countries or regions within General Ledger Team;
Propose implementation of advantageous changes in local and international general accounting regulations.
Fluency in English a must, good knowledge of a second language required (German, French,
Spanish, Italian);
Higher education in finance, accountancy, economy;
At least three years of accountancy experience as Supervisor, preferably in Shared Services;
Knowledge of General Accounting, Cash Management systems and procedures, IAS, US GAAP;
Experience in team management, employees’ motivation and recruitment;
Analytical and reporting knowledge.
