On behalf of one of clients, we are looking for an experienced Hospital Architect (f/m) with regional experience in South-East / South Asia.
Our client is a one of Germany's leading consulting companies which is involved in the development of international projects in a variety of sectors. Pointing to a history of more than three decades of professional development experience in 130 countries and over 830 projects, our client is constantly looking for high-profile consultants that can make a difference to their projects.
The project
The project is funded by KfW and its’ aims is for the final construction of a hospital phase in Galle, Sri Lanka. Further details of the current status of the project will be provided upon request.
Your Main Duties in this Position
• Contract management according to FIDIC Conditions of Contract for plant and design built (Yellow Book)
• Construction supervision
• Installation supervision of medical equipment
• Preparation of technical project documents and reports (design, tender documents, progress reports)
• Coordination of a multi-disciplinary multinational team
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering / Architecture
Your Expertise / Profile
• At least 10 years international experience in a development aid environment in supervision and execution of similar hospital projects; design experience is an asset
• Experience in project management, coordination and financial management
• Monitoring skills
• Ability to delegate and manage consulting tasks in areas outside of his knowledge base
• FIDIC Conditions of Contract for plant and design built (Yellow Book) is highly appreciated
• Experience in EPC (engineering, procurement and construction)
• Experience in developing and transition countries
• Regional experience in South-East / South Asia
• Previous experience with projects funded by international funding institutions is highly desirable
• Very good command of English language and communication skills
• High negotiation skills
• Pro-active attitude and able to perform in stressful environments
• Flexibility and patience
Time Schedule / Duration of Assignment
The project is already running and will continue for at least another 18 to 24 months.
The duration of your assignment in this role is set for the entire project period; the exact assignment times are subject to project needs.
