Well Access Systems Department (WAS)
Well Access Systems (WAS) is responsible for the following product areas: Products and tools used in the maintenance of wells and related equipment.
Our equipment is the barrier between the well and the environment. As a result we are extremely focused on health, safety and the environment.
We are now looking for Design Engineers within all our disciplines. The work will mainly be within project teams.
The position reports to the Group Leader in the department.
Main Tasks:
· Participate in delivery projects with responsibility for design and documentation of a defined product area
· Manage and control design interfaces, internally and externally
· Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings in compliance with mechanical, structural, soil and/or piping analyses and tolerance requirements
· Ensure use of standard and master documentation, and increase reuse of components, models and drawings
· Update of design documentation based on technical queries from fabricators.
Preferred qualifications and Personal skills:
· Skilled in hand calculations and/or simplified calculations of strength
· Experience in mechanical, structural or piping design
· Bachelor competence in engineering or equivalent
· Good written and spoken English language skills
· Proactive and result-oriented
· Able to establish and encourage teamwork
Candidates with experience from FMC have an advantage; preferably in Well Access Systems.
