RESPONSABILITATI

The position will have responsibility for the development of solutions to a Technical and Functional Specification, including testing and completion of tasks and documenting practices and procedures during development. The position will be expected to develop solutions using strong ergonomic principals with a target towards the end user experience

The position will be responsible for following in-house best practices encompassing the complete software development lifecycle. The position will be encouraged to forward suggestions for improvement in best practices to the Principal Developer.

The position will be required to actively assess and maintain a personal development plan including suggestions for continuous personal improvement in line with the organisation???s goals.

The position will be required to accurately record any time spent on project tasks throughout the day using the organisation s internal systems and procedures.

The position will be involved in the write up of Technical Specification to meet pre-defined Functional Requirements. These will be reviewed and signed-off by the Principal Developer before implementation.

The position will be required to indirectly oversee the work undertaken by the development team, and act as a first point of contact for any development related issues arising in development projects.

Manage the development team for SharePoint-based solutions including the provision of services as follows:
- Solution Design and Configuration of development products and services.
- Technical Specification of development solutions
- Software development and deployment of any development solutions.
- Documentation of any development
- Data migration
- Third-party integration
- Cut Over and Go-Live support


CERINTE

The position requires the following:

1. An excellent understanding of the .Net Framework, C#, VB.Net and ASP.Net and their application in developing systems to strong object oriented design principals.

2. An excellent understanding of networking infrastructures utilised in development environments, including Database Servers (SQL Server), Web Servers (IIS) and domain infrastructures (AD/DNS/DHCP)

3. An excellent understanding of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 application development, particularly in developing solutions to specification across the entire product range.

4. Some knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 application development, particularly in Search and Publishing development.

5. Good presentation skills with an ability to concisely and accurately detail specifications and designs in formatted documentation and modelling layouts (taxonomy / workflow).

6. Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite including SharePoint Designer 2007

7. Ability to work individually and as part of a team, while providing first point of contact support for other members of the development team.

8. Focused on quality, efficiency and ergonomics in delivering development solutions.

9. Ability to interpret and understand complex technical specifications and documentation and follow such specifications in the development and execution of a solution design.

10. Ability to self-manage in terms of time, workloads and deadlines.

11. Strong creative and ergonomic design considerations when developing solutions, with a strong tendency towards the end user experience

12. Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.

13. Flexible approach to work.

14. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

15. Strong communications and presentation skills.
