For our subsidiary in Sibiu/Romania we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated talent, eager to work in an international environment. The successful candidate will have exceptional technical and problem solving skills, with a positive, results driven attitude.
Joining our growing software development team, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to develop a range of in-house, award-winning eLearning software as well as to participate in innovative prototype development within international research projects. As a Senior Developer at IMC your tasks and responsibilities will be:
• Perform analysis, design, implementation and testing of the software.
• Works together with colleagues from Sibiu and other locations to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Actively contribute to the implementation and improvement of the development and engineering processes and work methodologies.
• Act as a coach or mentor for other colleagues, supporting their development.
• Education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent (M.S. degree or PhD is a plus).
• 3 - 5 years hands-on experience in software development.
• Sound knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition and web applications development using J2EE (Servlets, JSP, Custom tags). Java Certifications are a plus.
• Deep understanding of web applications software and deployment architecture.
• Experience with Web/Application Servers.
• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
• Working experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS, XML/XSL processing.
• Knowledge of UML and Design Patterns.
• Previous experience with Subversion and CVS.

• Ability to work well within a team as well as individually.
• Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm towards working in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Proven ability to learn fast software products under development and new programming languages and technologies.
• Analytical and problem solving skills, structured approach to problem solving.
• Fluency in English language (written and spoken) is mandatory, German language knowledge is a plus.
