The international automotive supplier Continental AG, Hanover, placed at the end of 2003 a further production site into operation in Romania. The new location in Sibiu was meant to produce and develop electronic components for the automotive industry. The location consists in a production facility (Plant) and a research & development center (Engineering Center).
In the Plant are produced Electronic Control Units for the Automotive Industry from Powertrain, Body, Chassis and Safety business units like: Injection control for Scania Trucks, Airbag Systems, Window Lift, Electronic Parking Brakes, etc.
As a Production Engineer you will be:
- responsible for ensuring the technical resources regarding his process steps for the realization of the daily production plan.
- responsible for the technical availability of the equipments
- continuously improve the preventive maintenance plan of the equipments
- responsible for the continuous improvement of these processes regarding capability and robustness
- responsible for the technical trouble shooting process regarding the process steps
- Technical University graduate: Electromechanics, Electronics, Automation
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in comparable position (process engineering in electronics production)
- Practical understanding of modern production and quality management tools, like lean manufacturing and six sigma.
- Experience with Automotive Quality standards
- Good command of English language is a must
