- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
- Building and maintenance of core PHP based applications.
- Develop web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features
- Assist the Technical Director in the planning of overall company strategy regarding web development and search engine optimisation.
- Monitor web server and site technical performance.
- previous PHP programming experience, Zend Framework is a plus
- database knowledge, specifically MySQL knowledge
- HTML, JavaScript coding, CSS, Linux is highly desirable
- a flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small team
- excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience
- bachelor's degree (IT)
- experience developing on the LAMP stack (ability to set up a LAMP install with multiple virtual hosts on your own is a plus)
- extensive experience with PHP
- extensive experience with SQL
- some experience with JavaScript, HTML & CSS
- experience with version control software (SVN, GIT)
