Description of Unit

Business Unit Global Services has a number of Global Services Delivery Centers around the world which complements the Market Units in delivering delivery services to Ericsson's customers.

Job Description

The engineer is directly responsible for providing 3rd Line fault resolution, monitoring and deployment in support of all security applications.

Responsibilities

Work with other teams to provide secure solutions
Maintenance of the security infrastructure including firewall, IDS and authentication solutions
Ensure all problems are dealt with within SLAs, with an emphasis on taking ownership of any problems that affect the customer experience
Aid in any operational activities/support
To work with 3rd party providers to resolve technical issues
Track and manage problem escalations via an industry standard call tracking system and co-ordinate implementation of root cause fixes with suppliers
Provide Security Support within core hours for "test environments"
Provide Security support 24*7 on a Rota on call basis
Investigate any inappropriate Email correspondence (may require to view obscene images)


CERINTE

Technical expertise:

3+ experience of Checkpoint FW1 in an enterprise environment
3+ experience of Checkpoint FW1 in an enterprise environment
Unix and Windows Server experience
TCP/IP networking
General security best practises

Soft skills:

Excellent problem solving abilities
Ability to work in a high pressure environment
Able to work with minimum supervision
Prepared to take ownership for issues which can span multiple teams and technology areas

Team player

Good communication skills

Academic background:

Technology / Science University qualification
