The QA Lead is primarily a hands-on role with responsibility for leading, coaching and mentoring the delivery team towards the systematic and consistent production of manual and executable specifications. The QA Lead is therefore jointly responsible for capturing testable and executable requirements in a ubiquitous language in conjunction with the Product Manager/Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or Development Manager.
Automated Acceptance Testing - evidence must include tools such as Watir, Selenium, Fitnesse
Behavioural Driven Development - evidence must include a tool such Cucumber, RSpec/MSpec, SpecFlow, StoryQ (Gherkin)
Testing Practice - evidence must include a familiar with Smoke Testing, Functional and Non-Functional Testing to include Security and Access Testing, Integration and Regression Testing
Software Languages - evidence must include Ruby and C# .NET
Databases – evidence must include at least two or more of the following: MySQL, MS SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Postgres
Continuous Integration - evidence must include familiarity with continuous integration servers such as TeamCity, Hudson, Jenkins, CruiseControl together with build tools such as Ant/Nant, MSBuild, Rake and Version Repositories such as Subversion or GIT
Coaching/Mentoring – evidence must include an appreciation of Agile principles particularly collective ownership, facilitation of learning sessions, familar with concepts related to DRY, YAGNI, pairing and team dynamics
