We are seeking a NETWORK/SECURITY Engineer to provide Level 2 / 3 network/security support for enterprise apps and their components to ensure app availability to the business. Proactively monitor and develop the infrastructure, changes and incidents to maintain service levels. Administer and enforce IT standards/processes.
The Network Security Engineer candidate must have a minimum of 2 years hands-on working experience in the network and security field.
Responsibilities:
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure consisting of Cisco routers and switches
- Manage and maintain network security devices including Cisco PIX/ASA, and Nokia firewalls
- Support and manage VoIP technologies
- Design, install and support end-to-end datacenter infrastructure
- Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses, and risk assessments
- Research, evaluates and implements new security software or devices
- Strong skills in all aspects of internet security, network design and troubleshooting
- Ability to implement policies, processes and develop solutions to network and security problems
- Experience administering and deploying network firewalls, such as Juniper SSG products, Cisco PIX/ASA and ACLs
- Thorough understanding of Cisco routers and switches, and TCP/IP, UDP, DNS EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and NAT protocols
- Working experience with configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC/VPN tunnel issues
- Exposure to some of the following tools: Snort, Nessus, Nmap, snoop, tcpdump and Wireshark
- Ability to work with limited supervision and able to solve problems independently
- Working experience in financial industry is preferred
