Job Description Scope and Responsibilities:
- Assists in implementing plant QA/QC program.
- Monitors use and inventories of laboratory chemicals and supplies.
- Operates, maintains, and calibrates laboratory equipment.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure that QA/QC standards are met.
- Maintains safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participates in the safety program for the QA/QC laboratory.
- Assists to coordinate activities with other departments.
- Communicates directly with the Construction department to ensure effective participation by the process operators in the implementation of QA/QC policies and procedures.
- Implements programs and procedures required ensuring laboratory and planting cleanliness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related scientific or technical field.
- Three years experience in a QA/QC laboratory in a process industry.
- Experience with implementing effective QA/QC programs.
- Experience with automated laboratory equipment (such as HPLC or GC).
- Must have experience in the Construction field Laboratory process and equipment
Communication Skills:
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English are essential.
Knowledge:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with computerized laboratory equipment.
- Must be able to perform Soil, Concrete and asphalt Test.
Building material and product should also be tested and analyzed.
