My client is a leading Engineering Consultancy firm. They are currently looking for Highways Engineers on various levels for their offices in Birmingham.
You will be Chartered/ near Chartered Civil Engineer with relevant experience.
You will be responsible for design ‘packages’ and have ability to lead small teams of designers and technicians. An excellent knowledge of UK highway design , design standards, and 3D highway design software essential.
Likely to be responsible for own work (designs, drawings, calculations, etc) and that of small design team.
Design skills of benefit would include excellent knowledge and experience of applying relevant highway design codes (eg DMRB); ability in and demonstrable experience in the application of 3D highway design software packages (INROADS, MOSS, PDS, etc) – major highway experience is essential.
The ability to manage small design teams is essential.
Design experience of surface water drainage, road signs and lines, pavement and liaison with statutory undertakers would be expected.
