Our client is a small group of international Danish companies. The companies within the group are market leading, dynamic and visionary with a high growth rate. These companies design and produce a high variety of products among which can be mentioned charge air coolers, cooling towers for industry, piping systems, radiator coolers, exhaust systems and associated equipment for the marine and powerplant industry.
Due to the high growth rate the company is now expanding its activities to Romania by establishing a plant in Brasov. Together we are looking for an European Welding Engineer based in Brasov.
Role:
This position role is to ensure that the appropriate welding procedures, equipment and related technology are employed and to ensure a quality welding process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the system for the WPAR (Welding Procedure Approval Record) and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification);
- Ensure technological processes support production objectives;
- Obtain all necessary approvals by notified body where necessary;
- Plan and organize welder certificates, renewal and maintenance;
- Ensure the visual inspection of welding in workshop;
- Provide leadership, support and training for welders for the welding machinery and specialized welding procedures;
- Develop and implement clear standards and consistent work procedures for all welding applications.
- Welding Engineer with examination and diploma as European Welding Engineer (EWE) from an approved EWF institute;
- Previous practical experience is a must (at least 3 years as a Welding Engineer);
- Documented work experience for stress calculations in steel structures, beams bolted and welded connections is an important advantage;
- Knowledge of Eurocode 3, EN Standard 1993, for steel structures;
- The candidate must be able to visualize assembling methods in the steel structure by use of AutoCAD or Inventor;
- Fluent in English;
- Proactive team player who also can work individually with tasks within the defined work boundaries;
- Ability to change and adapt quickly when circumstances change;
- Have a good understanding of commercial business values;
- A structured person with a good sense of detail;
- Robust and not afraid to take responsibility.

- A training period in the Danish head quarter, will be expected when the position is occupied.
