The Simulation and Modeling Facility is seeking a software engineer to support a number of programmes involving avionics, unmanned aircraft systems, Air Traffic Management modernatization, and other advanced research efforts.
Responsibilities will include designing and implementing software requirements and architecture of simulation models for interacting with real sensors, a synthetic environment and embedded systems in a re-configurable framework. Additional responsibilities may include the setup and implementation of commercial scenarios in simulation systems to meet customer requirements. Candidates will be required to meet cost, schedule and performance requirements. Working with internal and external customers to provide simulation overviews and determine requirements is also be required.
You should have experience or expertise in the following areas:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
2 years minimum related experience
Working with internal and external customers to provide simulation overviews and requirements definition for current projects and future projects
Developing and updating aircraft and ground platform simulations
Using C++ , Java or Net programming languages, OpenGL, HTML applications, Unix/windows scripting
Designing object-orientated architectures and software
Excellent in-depth training from the aerospace industry experts
