Monitor the application of HSE Standards and code of practices provides advise and support in area of PTWs, isolations, chemical handling etc.
Inspects all existing fixed and mobile plants, equipment and installations in assigned area of responsibility to ensure adherence to Company's established Safety rules, standards and codes of practice. Monitors implementation of the approved annual safety program. Support Site Management in emergency situation and preparedness. Promotes awareness of site personnel to safety. Investigates Incidents/ accidents and writes related statistical and analytical reports.
(Work covers safety to personnel and Company's property in area of responsibility).
Organizational Relationship/ Latitude:
¿ Reports directors to Site Manager and functionally to concerned Section Leader in HSE Division.
¿ Frequent contacts with work associates in the HSE division upto Team Leader level to exchange of information.
¿ Daily contacts with concerned Asset Team Leaders and members to discuss safety issues and provide safety advice.
¿ Frequent contacts with all levels of site personnel to ensure adherence to safety standards and coordinate conducting fire and safety drills.
¿ WORKS ACCORDING TO Company's established standards and procedures. Exercises latitude and judgment when investigating incidents/accidents. Refers major problems to direct and functional Supervisor.
¿ Completed work is subject to review by direct and functional Supervisor.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs the following functions in assigned area of responsibility.
Monitor the application of HSE Standards and codes of practices provide advise the Site Management in PTWs, isolations work procedures etc.
Other Related Duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor such as: Maintaining close liaison with Logistics Departments and Fire Sections personnel, participating actively in evacuation campaigns, ensuring safe work environment prior to carrying out hot working programmes, the Safety Engineer Supervises the provision and maintenance of fire, safety and life saving equipment,..etc.
The job holder is on 24 hours call.
The desired candidate should have minimum 10 years experience in Safety, loses preventions of offshore installations related to Oil Petrochemical Industry. Very good spoken & writing English.
Essential Qualification & Skills:
Engineering discipline with very good knowledge & experience related to HSE Management System & Risk Management Techologies Accident & Incident Investigation and analysis skill using CTA (Cause Tree Analysis) or FTA (Fault Tree Analysis & computer skills.
