GSS Ltd. has been requested to assist with the search and selection of an experienced Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer to be based in Qatar. Contract duration is three years with very good rate and good prospects. This is a major company that employs a large number of expats. There is no local income tax in Qatar.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Relevant Engineering Field or equivalent. Additional Engineering / Project Management qualifications, will be an added advantage. Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Excellent conflict management and problem solving skills. Good negotiating and influencing skills. Sound technical and business knowledge. Excellent Project Management skills. Good knowledge of written and spoken English. IT-PC literate. Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience: At least 15 years' experience in engineering and design in a multi-disciplinary technical role within the Oil and Gas industry. Experience in supervising electrical discipline engineers and engineering contractors to achieve the maximum. Will be involved with: Expenditure, Hire / Fire / Salaries, Working Methods, Plans / Objectives / Goal Setting, Compliance with Company Plans, Policies & Procedures, Delegated Technical authority for Electrical and Instrument within the following phases; Design, Engineering, Acceptance Tests, Construction & Commissioning from Engineering Coordinator.
