Reporting to Construction/Commissioning Managers.
Inform Construction/Commissioning Managers or Construction/Commissioning
Superintendents of activities progress and ongoing problems
Cooperate with Construction Team, Process Supervisors, Board and Field Operators
Perform hands-on workshop and / or on-site valve troubleshooting / assessment, maintenance, testing (pre / post), and / or repair of valves and actuators.
Perform hands-on workshop and / or on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of valves and actuators.
Ensure work and used materials are in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required including completion of applicable quality documentation in either paper or electronic form.
Perform failure assessments and make recommendations to the valve vendors.
Perform day-to-day and routine safety observations and inspections.
Assure activities under his responsibility in accordance with HSE plan
Utilizes, within the budget, and monitor the services of Vendors valve specialists, when required, for the fulfilment of their responsibilities.
Ensure that subordinates and/or subcontractors under his responsibility perform work in compliance with procedures and/or valve schematics.
Coordinate and prepare activities/program for work under his responsibility
Supervise the non-operational type testing of the valves before Mechanical Completion
Assures that the valve are correctly assembled according to the construction, pre- commissioning and commissioning works and schedule.
Verify piping test procedures are in accordance to valve temporary or permanent assembled status;
Assures that the valve spare parts are available according to the pre-commissioning, commissioning start up activities and schedule.
Assure the proper operation and maintenance of valve under his responsibility
Providing or requesting information to/from Vendor, subordinates, and/or subcontractor by telephone, radio, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Propose corrective actions and verifying their proper implementation.
Repair or maintain the operating condition of the valves
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of valve.
Disassemble valve to remove parts in accordance to pipe test and/or make repairs.
Observe, test and report the operation of valve to diagnose malfunctions using testing devices.
Reassemble valve after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts of the valve.
Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
Operate newly repaired valve to verify the adequacy of repairs.
Analyse test results obtained from operators to diagnose valve problems.
Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary.
Manage and maintain in order the parts of valve in warehouse or workshop.
1. Must be experienced having minimum 20 years’ experience in LNG plant valve maintenance discipline and/or as valve manufacturer’s technician with a minimum of 10 years in LNG applications valves.
2. Candidate having proven technical background on LNG cryogenic valves essential.
3. Effective and efficient LNG applications valve dismantling, assembly, maintenance and troubleshooting practices relevant to; ball valve, butterfly valve , check valve; globe valve, gate valve and PSV. Flanged or Butt Weld types valve. Metal or soft seated or floating trunnion designed valves.
4. Working knowledge of computer applications and methods.
5. Organisational ability in a multi-interface/technically demanding environment knowledge and understanding of P &ID is required
6. Adjustable Working hours to ensure full coverage of requested activities on field.
7. Be fluent in English, both written and spoken
8. In addition to English knowledge of Polish, both written and spoken shall be considered as preferred added value.
