Qualified to degree level or equivalent with experience gained at major engineering or contracting companies on a variety of petrochemical projects including revamps and plant modifications.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter able to demonstrate the ability to work using their own initiative or as part of a team. Effective communication of ideas and requirements in a clear and concise manner is considered important.
Experienced in conducting stress analyses using Caesar II or equivalent and also producing and checking calculations.
The successful candidate must have a pragmatic approach to solving problems and carrying out technical investigations and assessments. Client focused with an appreciation of project costs and the ability to work to budget.
Knowledge of appropriate national and international codes and standards including ASME B31.3.
Experienced in working to procedures within a quality system with knowledge of health and safety issues.

2) Producing critical line lists
3) Writing and presentation of technical reports
4) Reviewing general arrangements and isometrics
5) Use of nomographs and other approximate techniques
6) Producing and checking calculations
7) Design of supports
8) Trunnion checks
9) Assessment of loads on equipment
10)Site surveys
11) Risk assessments
12) Competent in the use of Caesar II or similar analysis software.
13) Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
