Main responsibilities
- Responsible for installation of the equipment, layout, start-up, process parameters, operation instructions (SOS), operator training and internal release.
- Accountable for process and equipment capability, continuous improvement of manufacturing process/equipment, improves yield rates together with the plant ME manager, plant AME engineers, technicians and Global AME process managers.
- Defines technical process and equipment requirements, state of the art manufacturing, equipment and controls standards in close partnership with the Global AME process managers and Global AME process experts.
- Project tracking and project support for local equipment suppliers.
- Responsible for PFMEA. Support for Operations, HS&E, MRO and Quality Departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High knowledge and skills in Automotive Industry specialized on assembly & packaging operations and mechanical product transformation (machining & heat treatment).
- Success in leading multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions and working effectively in a highly technical, team environment with direct managers, functional manager and AME engineers.
- Lean and Six Sigma skills.
- Good English language skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, method or mechanical Engineering background preferred.
- At least 2 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing/Engineering roles.
- Knowledgeable in Quality Concepts
Travel requirements:
- 20 percent travel times in Europe. During critical phases up to 4 week trips may be required.
