As the Manager for Product Management Data within Timken Romania, you will guide and drive the material master data development and alignment across all the Engineering capabilities with their corresponding products.
You will leverage your complete knowledge of, and experience in, applying all elements of complete life-cycle, including launch of new products, or lines, transition, or end-of-life, through internal customers in order to support the master data of new product introduction at global level.
You will work with closely with the engineering and Core PM teams, worldwide sales and engineering teams to define product release requirements, product specifications, enhancement requests and prioritization. This position requires strong technical knowledge in defining and prioritizing how features and functions should get implemented.
Responsibilities:
Drive timely creation/validation/implementation of new parts, in SAP & all legacy material masters in line with engineering systems requirements.
Coordinate maintenance and accuracy of material master data, with data integrity across plants, regions, businesses.
Drive data management & process modifications to support business projects (like acquisitions, new product lines, integration projects, P/1) in liaison with other functions like customer service, replenishment, warehousing, product design, sales force, application engineering.
Conduct flawless transition of processes from sites.
Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.
Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
Provide assistance for internal customer ( application engineering, sales engineering, manufacturing and order fulfillment as a backup for Product Design (Help Desk) - bearing interchangeability, existing customer drawings, bearing identification, other data related to product design.
Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions.
Train new and existing team members and Team Leaders on relevant tools or topics.
Maintain excellent relationship with internal customers at site and with key stakeholders in the organization.
Engineering degree;
Relevant work experience in data management, process / manufacturing engineering or product design
Computer literate, used to heavily work with systems and PC software;
Proficiency in English;
Previous leadership experience and attitude;
Problem solving capability and analytical skills;
Knowledge of ERP (SAP, MFG Pro);
Knowledge of MS office and MS Outlook;
High communication skills and team player attitude.
