RESPONSABILITATI

This is an experienced managerial position in P&G's greenfield Haircare Manufacturing Facility.
The new hair care plant in Urlati will start shipments in 2010.

The Shampoo and Conditioner Making Department leader will be responsible in the first year to lead the Shampoo and Conditioner Making department start-up.
This comprises the recruiting of the making department employees, the training and qualification of the employees and the implementation of the manufacturing systems.
In this phase, the department leader will very closely collaborate with the Engineering team and has the joint responsibility to deliver the project commitments, as well as building the longer term capability.
Specifically, in this role, the person will ensure:
(i) manufacturing readiness
(ii) the delivery of the start up curve (in shippable product and in schedule adherence) as agreed for each phase
(iii) meeting the start up costs as agreed in the project economics
Beyond the start-up, the person is responsible of leading the making department, delivering the going results and capability improvements and the initiatives implementation.
The person will set the standards in his/her operation on Safety/Quality/Cleanliness & Orderliness/Zero loss thinking and will be in the frontline to manage employee relations and to create the site culture.

Batch systems experience is an advantage
Experience in leading a start-up is an advantage
Capability building skills: the person needs to have good teaching and communication skills and a keen interest to transfer knowledge to other people
The individual needs to be able to set direction and priorities and communicate them clearly and consistently
