- Designs and implements the preventative maintenance plan for utilities/facility equipment
- Analyses any maintenance works (preventative and corrective) to continuously improve their execution, reduce their duration, eradicating repair works being the main goal.
- Monitors production and maintenance metrics to then lead the projects to improve the maintenance availability of the production equipment.
- Modify the preventative plan
- Change some machine elements
- In case of equipment acquisition, in charge of getting the highest maintenance availability
- Analyse the cost of any maintenance actions regarding the production cost
- Ensure that the utilities / facility equipment and infrastructure are Health Safety and Environment safe and aligned on local regulations.
- Designs and improves maintenance specifications which are part of the global equipment specifications
- Ensures the acceptance of new equipment in terms of maintenance, especially observes if contracted maintenance specifications are met (Maintenance Availability)
- Designs, manages and improves the technical documentations of the equipment
- Designs, writes and improves the standard maintenance operation procedures for repairing and preventative operations
- Analyses spare part consumption and sets up the minimum inventory. Investigate other ways to reduce this inventory: fast suppliers, consigned inventory, special contracts, share inventory with sister factories,…
- Manages the Computer Aided Maintenance System (CAMS)
- Supports maintenance Capex process
- Uses Total Quality methods to solve problems (SSP, Lean, RCCA, Reliability-Maintainability-Availability, FMEA, failure trees, MTBF, MTTR,…)
- Supports TPM implementation, especially autonomous maintenance
- Supports HSE management system in accordance with company policy and annual site HSE plans
- Implements equipment, products (especially chemicals) and subcontracted activities respecting local and corporate HSE rules and requirements
