The Drilling Technician, under supervision, performs routine technical assistance to the Drilling Engineer, Optimisation Engineer, Survey Specialist and other Staff. The Drilling Technician performs daily duties on a clerical and technical nature, such as to provide the operations with the printing and plotting of the well plots, database administration and compilation, compilation of Reports, montage preparation, presentation material and basic analysis outputs.
Other areas of responsabilities:
Technical Support and Training:
- Maintain server and computer hardware
- Develop format and montages for all required outputs
- Provide technical assistance to various projects as required
- Perform plotting and printing role for Staff
- Provide statistical analysis for operations
- Support PowerDrilling and statistics tracking
- Ability to generate outputs from DataBrowser, Well Design, & Survey Editor
- Interprets all available data and observations to determine state of the well and its
compliance to plan
- Attain proficiency of Drill bit program outputs
Administrative:
- Ensures that all Reports are compiled and prepared for delivery to the client
- Collects and collates information to monitor performance indicators, to measure
the quality and cost effectiveness of, and benchmark drilling performance.
- Supports technical integrity and competency of the company in Drilling Engineering
by comprehending and supporting the Design-Execute-Evaluate process.
Communication:
- Documents and reports all deviations from drilling program to the Drilling Engineer
- Provide prompt and efficient reporting and administration to the company and
customers requirements
-High school diploma/University degree
-Previous experience is a plus
-Good English knowledge
-Good base of mathematics, interested in the technical side of the job
