Programming and Maintenance/Troubleshooting of the existing equipment/work stations controls – CNCs, PLCs, APs.
Provides solutions to operations process issues driven by controls out-logic (troubleshooting).
Problem solving on the above controls and fast responding on the corrective actions;
Maintain relations with the servicing companies or equipment builders and escalates for troubleshooting whenever issues go beyond his expertise;
Make informed decisions on intervention – himself, outsourcing service or equipment builder based on complexity and cost versus potential production loss;
Develop Risk Mitigation Plans, Improvements toward autonomous, preventive and predictive maintenance.
Design, implement, and maintain improvement modifications to automated manufacturing equipment, CNCs (i.e. Siemens840D, Fanuc, etc), PLCs (Siemens, Allan Bradley) and custom electronic circuits.
Supports development of specifications reading / reviewing device layout drawings, control schematics, etc.
Co-operate with process engineering, IT and local management on asset commissioning, developing standard work, training&assisting operators with daily process & product problem solving regarding machine operations and maintenance.
Bachelor degree in either Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics.
3-5 years of experience in automation / Siemens CNCs, PLC systems / Controls
Wide understanding of automation in equipment in industry for machining purposes – turning, milling, drilling, grinding and their related computerised controls (CNC, PLC, AP) in correlation with mechanical response. In scope Siemens 840D, FANUC/GE, PLCs Siemens and Allan Bradley types.
Understanding of engineering practices and the corresponding analytical methodologies. Mechanical systems understanding is an asset.
English language proficiency both written and spoken.
Fluency in communication.
Problem solving skills.
