For one of our clients, a multinational company active in automotive production area, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager based in Pitesti.
Responsibilities:
Responsible with the purchasing process, including procedures and budget control for the Romanian factory;
Identifies alternative sources of supply, with an emphasis on reduced total cost;
Ensures high level of supplier quality performance and pilot appropriate action plans in order to attain the targets;
Defines opportunities for cost reduction, establishes and maintains supplier performance;
Ensures clear effective communication with the suppliers, including updates on their performance, any necessary actions and future plans;
Monitors all relevant suppliers and parts information and ensures proper ordering, invoicing and cost control;
Develops and maintains purchasing procedures in line with group purchasing requirements;
Performs budget control of purchasing expenditure;
Ensures materials are ordered and delivered as required to achieve the production plans;
Issues the reports of designated activities, indexes, supplier parts and metrics, following group policies.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Purchasing Manager in an industrial environment;
University degree in engineering;
Fluent in English;
Strong negotiating skills;
Ability and experience to establish supplier agreements/contracts;
Proven track record of delivering cost reductions and controlling budget spending;
Very good interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a small team.
