The person in this position will configure, analyze, design, develop, and maintain ERP program codes and applications to support business processes and functions. Will work closely with business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions for the development and operation of the ERP system. Assist in such day-to-day operations as troubleshooting, production support, and maintaining the ERP platform. Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected.
DUTIES / RESPONSABILITIES
- Responsible for designing and coding applications per gathered requirements.
- Work within the ERP team to design and implement innovative solutions.
- Support multiple environments, while following best practices and departmental change management policies.
- Perform debugging and testing of all code, and assist with any required corrective actions.
- Responsible for assisting with implementing, maintaining, and improving the ERP modules.
- Involved in all parts of the development cycle; inception, conception, development, documentation, testing and delivery

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information/ Systems Mathematics/Engineering. Experience may be considered as a substitute for education or in combination with formal education.
- Good understanding of an ERP application (SAP, M3 - is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Java, XML, SQL
- Knowledge of MAK, MEC
- Experience with Streamserve, EDI
- Eclipse IDE Framework
- Proficient in software development practices/methodologies and able to apply proficiency in one or more areas of products and industries
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of distribution business and/or logistics would be appreciated
- Experience working in Agile or Iterative development processes desired
- Good spoken and written English. Any other language is considered a plus (French).
